I'm proud to present our first video release in conjunction with King of the Witches. In 2005 the 4th sequel to Candyman began production titled Hell's Houseguest. After a tremendous amount of budget problems the producers pulled the plug leaving the movie 85% complete. It was a departure from the original three, bringing in Sinbad for comic relief to capitalize on the huge success of Rush Hour type movies.
From what director Jack Sholder has told me the entire production was a mess. The script was about Sinbad trying to save the "ghetto" part of town he lived in that, although was rundown, it still had charm and the community was behind many restoration projects. When evil real estate developers tried to begin construction on a new mega mall and tear down local landmarks, Sinbad turned to the darkness and conjured Candyman to help scare away the developers. Sinbad, along with Candyman try to get along long enough to throw the biggest block party the city has ever seen and even hired rap superstar Snoop Doggy Dogg to help.
Well let's just say Candyman and Sinbad weren't the best roommates but the heartwarming relationship they forge was the best chance they had to save their neighborhood!
This will be presented in the only edited version available in accordance with director Jack Sholder. There was no final artwork and no trailer, only audio mix for producers which I will post shorly so we will be working with Jack to make the first official artwork as well as bringing this unseen classic to the masses!
Sales begin tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. eastern, 8:00 a.m. pacific.
This is our first release and appreciate everyones enthusiasm!
